Vincent Cardi is the Bowles Rice Professor of Law at West Virginia University, College of Law. He previously served as Commissioner of West Virginia State Election Commission (2013-present) and Commissioner of West Virginia Commission on Uniform State Laws (2002-present).

He also served as Commissioner of Uniform Law Commission (ULC, formerly the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws), and has been involved in the Southeastern Association of Law Schools, West Virginia Law Institute Governing Council (1995-present), American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review Advisory Board, West Virginia University Faculty Senate Parliamentarian, Legal Aid of West Virginia Board of Directors, and Ohio River Basin Energy Study.
