Sarah Campbell Confirmed to Tennessee Supreme Court
In a joint session of the Tennessee General Assembly, Sarah Keeton Campbell was confirmed to the Tennessee Supreme Court and took the oath of office. She was nominated by Governor Bill Lee in January.
“I did not have any lawyers in my family, but I was always drawn to public service,” Campbell said in the announcement. “I developed an interest in the law while at UT and decided to attend law school with the aim of using my legal education to improve my community.”
Campbell joins the court from the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office, where she served as associate solicitor general and special assistant to the attorney general. An investiture ceremony will be held in the spring.
