Renee Knake Jefferson Interview on ‘Shortlisted’
Renee Knake Jefferson of University of Houston Law Center was recently interviewed by Diane P. Wood of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit to discuss her book Shortlisted: Women in the Shadows of the Supreme Court.
The book, published in 2020, discusses women that were considered for the United States Supreme Court, but ultimately passed over for the role, in the years leading up to the appointment of Sandra Day O’Connor.
In the interview, Knake Jefferson and her coauthor Hannah Brenner Johnson discuss the book and female judges passed over for the Court and lessons those decisions led to.
The full interview is available through Judicature, a journal published by the Bolch Judicial Institute at Duke Law School.
