Joseph Getty Appointed Chief Judge of Maryland Court of Appeals

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has appointed Joseph M. Getty as chief judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals, the state’s highest court. This appointment also makes Getty the Maryland Judiciary’s chief administrator. He will serve in this role until his resignation or mandated retirement at age 70.
