Tom Chaseman is an Associate General Counsel with AIG where he oversees nationwide insurance claims litigation involving the AIG member companies. Mr. Chaseman has experience in the areas of property/casualty insurance, professional malpractice, and complex commercial and tort litigation. Before joining AIG, Mr. Chaseman was a trial attorney with the New Jersey law firm of Sokol Behot & Fiorenzo and he represented both insurers and policyholders at the trial and appellate levels. Mr. Chaseman speaks regularly on insurance law and litigation-related topics.
Mr. Chaseman previously served as a legal advisor for the Organization for the Security and Co-operation in Europe where he developed rule of law and justice sector programs in post-conflict and developing states. He has written best practices materials for rule of law and transitional justice programs and he is the author of Trial Monitoring: A Reference Manual for Practitioners published by the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.
