Randolph Stuart Sergent

Randolph S. Sergent is Executive Vice President and General Counsel for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, located in Baltimore, Maryland.  Prior to joining CareFirst, Mr. Sergent was a partner at Venable, LLP.  Mr. Sergent also served the Maryland Attorney General’s Office as Deputy Principal Counsel to the Maryland Insurance Commissioner and as Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Litigation Division.   Mr. Sergent  also serves as the Chair of and a Commissioner on the Maryland Health Care Commission and is active with the Maryland State Bar Association, with service on the Board of Governors, Executive Committee and Ethics Committee, among others.
