Ben Griffith is principal of Griffith Law Firm in Oxford, Mississippi, and an adjunct professor of election law at the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 1975 after receiving his B.A. in English and German from the Ole Miss in 1973. His federal civil litigation practice is focused on government liability in the fields of voting rights, election law, and insurance defense. He is a sustaining member of the ALI, Council of the Central European and Eurasian Law Initiative (CEELI) and the ABA Cybersecurity Legal Task Force. He served on the ABA Board of Governors (2016-2019), the ABA House of Delegates (2010-2019), the ABA Section of State & Local Government Law (Chair, 2007-08), the Lawyers Conference of the ABA Judicial Division, and the ABA Standing Committee on Election Law (Chair, 2010-2013) and its Advisory Commission (2013-18). In addition to authoring numerous publications, articles and monographs within his field of expertise for the ABA and other organizations throughout his career, he was editor and contributor for the four editions of America Votes!Challenges to Modern Election Law & Voting Rights (2008, 2012, 2016, 2019).
