Vincent R. Johnson is Interim Dean and Charles E. Cantu Distinguished Professor of Law at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas.  He teaches and writes in the areas of torts, professional responsibility, legal malpractice law, government ethics, and international business transactions. 

Dean Johnson has served as a Fulbright Scholar in Burma, China, and Romania.  His articles have been cited in more than 210 law reviews and 60 federal and state court decisions.  As a United States Supreme Court Fellow, he assisted Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist with his duties as head of the judicial branch.  He clerked for Chief Judge Thomas E. Fairchild at the Seventh Circuit in Chicago, and for the Judge Bernard S. Meyer on the highest state court in New York State.

Dean Johnson received his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame, an LL.M. from Yale University, and an LL.M. from the London School of Economics.  By appointment of the Supreme Court of Texas, he is a member of the Committee on Disciplinary Rules and Referenda.
