Law Firm Giving
Law firms play a vital role in supporting the Institute’s work—Restatements of the Law, Principles of the Law, and Model Codes. In addition to assisting in our ability to quickly respond to pressing needs, funding provided by these generous law-firm donors helps us:
- Examine areas of the law not yet studied by ALI that are at the forefront of legal discourse, to provide guidance on these critically important and often divisive issues.
- Continue to work on Restatements, Principles, and Model Codes in areas of law that would benefit from clarification or reform, and that will provide great legal and societal benefit.
- Coordinate legal rules and facilitate cooperation across borders by working with organizations in other countries to create transnational legal principles.
Law-firm donors receive special recognition in a number of ALI publications, on ALI’s website, and at select ALI events.
We invite law firms to join us in our goal of protecting and promoting the rule of law for a second century. For more information, please contact ALI Deputy Director Eleanor Barrett at ebarrett@ali.org
