Membership Communications Specialist

The American Law Institute is looking to fill a position in the Membership and Development Department. Responsibilities include preparing materials for the Membership Committee meetings, drafting and distributing emails and letters, maintaining membership webpages, and to generally assist in performing all membership responsibilities.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years of related experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and exceptional proofreading/editing skills, as well as the ability to communicate clearly with ALI members, staff, and the general public.
  • Previous experience working in a membership organization and a general understanding of legal and business concepts, or proven ability to learn quickly.
  • The ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with MS Office Suite, especially Excel. Knowledge of Informz email and iMIS database a plus, but not required.

Working hours: M-F (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
ALI is temporarily working remotely with plans to return to the office a few days a week in September.
