Melanie Kalmanson is a Commercial Litigation Partner in the Tampa office of Quarles and Brady LLP, focusing on commercial litigation, representing businesses and individuals in all phases of litigation in state and federal court. Her practice focuses on construction and real estate litigation disputes, in which she represents contractors, manufacturers, subcontractors and other sophisticated parties.
Before private practice, Melanie clerked for Justice Barbara J. Pariente (ret.) on the Florida Supreme Court from 2016-2019. Since her clerkship, Melanie has written extensively on capital punishment and constitutional issues involved in the capital sentencing process. She has served as pro bono counsel to persons sentenced to death in Alabama, Florida, and Texas, and has served two terms on the Steering Committee for the ABA Death Penalty Representation Project.
