Henry Kevane is the managing partner of the San Francisco office of Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones LLP, a nationally recognized law firm specializing in insolvency and restructuring matters.  He has represented both debtors and creditors in major bankruptcy matters nationwide for over thirty-seven years. Mr. Kevane has written and lectured on numerous cross-border, intellectual property, federal asset forfeiture and municipal restructuring topics.  He recently co-authored the book Asset Forfeiture and Insolvency: A Parallel Case Management Guide, published in 2019 by the American Bar Association.  He is also an author of the book Chapter 9 Bankruptcy Strategies, published by Thomson Reuters and contributed to the book Debtor-in-Possession Financing: Funding a Chapter 11 Case, published by the American Bankruptcy Institute.  He has lectured at many conferences on Chapter 15 cross-border insolvency issues, the intersection of bankruptcy and intellectual property law, and municipal bankruptcy law developments.  He has also written on various bankruptcy subjects for the American Bar Association’s Business Law Today publication.

In 2015, Mr. Kevane was inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy.  In 2020, he was selected as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.  Currently, he is the Chair of the Business Bankruptcy Committee of the American Bar Association.  Mr. Kevane is also a past chair of two committees of the State Bar of California, the Insolvency Law Committee of the Business Law Section (1995-1999) and the Committee on Federal Courts (1996-2001).  

Mr. Kevane is a graduate of Brown University (A.B., Magna Cum Laude, 1982) and Southwestern Law School (J.D., Magna Cum Laude, 1986).  He was Editor-in-Chief of the Southwestern University Law Review. 

Mr. Kevane is a past Treasurer and a current member of the Board of Directors of the Ocean Avenue Association, a California community benefit district.
