Barnard

Marialyn Barnard is a Judge on the Texas Business Court, previously serving as Justice on the Texas Fourth Court of Appeals for ten years and trial Judge on the Texas 73rd District Court. Prior to her service as an appellate justice, she was an Assistant United States Attorney, corporate counsel, and counsel with Prichard Hawkins McFarland & Young LLP in complex litigation. She began her legal career as a briefing attorney at the Texas Fourth Court of Appeals and followed by serving as a federal law clerk for District Judge Orlando L. Garcia in the Western District of Texas. She is a member of the Texas Bar, the Federal Bar Association, and a former member of the American Bar Association, Inns of Court and several local bar associations. Judge Barnard also served as Commissioner on the Bexar County Commissioners Court.
