Ray D. Madoff of Boston College Law School testified on the subject of charitable tax policy before the Canadian Senate on September 24. She appeared as part of a study on the impact of federal and provincial laws and policies governing charities, nonprofit organizations, and foundations. The study also examines the impact of the voluntary sector in Canada.
The Senate Special Committee on the Charitable Sector is specifically looking into the funding of the sector with a focus on the role of foundations and donor-advised funds.
