In Memoriam: John D. Hastie

June 21, 2017

John D. Hastie of Phillips Murrah passed away. He was 77.

Mr. Hastie was an adjunct professor for the University of Oklahoma College of Law from 1982-1990 and 2000-2003. He authored articles for several organizations, including the American Bar Association and the Oklahoma Law Review. He was a member of Phillips Murruh’s Real Estate Practice Group and was also an experienced bankruptcy attorney.

Mr. Hastie was an Adviser for Restatement of the Law, Property (Servitudes) and Restatement of the Law of Real Property Security. He also worked as an adviser for the ABA Joint Committee on Continuing Professional Education.
