Lydia Griggsby To Be Appointed to the U.S. District Court of Maryland
Lydia Kay Griggsby was confirmed by the U.S. Senate to the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. She will be the first woman of color to serve as a federal judge in the state. Her nomination was announced by President Joe Biden in March.
Elected to ALI in 2020, Griggsby serves on the Members Consultative Group for Principles of the Law, Government Ethics. In the Winter 2020 issue of The ALI Reporter, Griggsby talks about her experience participating in an ALI project meeting.
