Irene Calboli Elected to ELI

Irene Calboli of Texas A&M University School of Law has been elected to the European Law Institute (ELI). Founded in 2011, ELI is an independent organization seeking to improve the quality of European law in the broadest sense and provide guidance on legal developments. Members of ELI reflect the diversity of legal communities in Europe and beyond.

From the Texas A&M announcement:

Professor Calboli, a Texas A&M Regents Professor, teaches intellectual property law. Her current research focuses on the interplay between intellectual property protection, international trade, and sustainable development. 

In Europe, she also serves as an expert to the European Union Intellectual Property Office and the European Commission. She closely collaborates with the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property and Competition Law and several European universities, including the University of Geneva, SciecePo Paris, Bocconi University, Jagiellonian University, IE University, Hanken University, and the University of Alicante.
