American Law Institute Publishes Concise Restatement of Torts

April 14, 2015

The American Law Institute (ALI), the leading independent organization in the United States producing scholarly work to clarify, modernize, and improve the law, today announced that its Concise Restatement of Torts, Second Edition is now available. This Concise Restatement contains provisions from existing Restatements of Torts in a compact, convenient, and readily accessible format, and is designed specifically for law students.

Concise Restatements include content thought to be most useful to those learning about an area of law and serve as a helpful tool for introductory study. The Concise Restatements of Torts, Second Edition was assembled by Professor Ellen M. Bublick from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law.

“This book is a helpful tool that presents all of the most relevant information pertaining to Torts in a clear, easy-to-digest format,” said Bublick. “ALI’s Concise Restatements are essential to any law professor who teaches an introductory courses on these subjects.”

The text contains material from ALI’s Restatement of the Law Third, Torts: Liability for Physical and Emotional Harm (2010); Restatement of the Law Third, Torts: Apportionment of Liability (2000); and Restatement of the Law Third, Torts: Products Liability (1998). This Concise Restatement is intended to be assigned in support of any law school casebook on Torts.
