In April, 2019, Rosa Solis-Rainey was appointed to the Nevada Gaming Commission.  Ms. Solis-Rainey remains a partner at Morris Law Group, where her practice includes representing businesses in all manners of contract disputes, litigating products liability matters, insurance bad faith actions, defending professional liability claims, and handling other complex business litigation. Ms. Solis-Rainey has successfully disposed of claims on dispositive motions based on lack of causation, federal preemption, and statute of limitation grounds. She is experienced in all aspects of motion practice before state and federal courts, complex discovery, depositions of fact and expert witnesses, and preparation of complex expert reports.

Following two judicial clerkships, Ms. Solis-Rainey began her practice at the state’s largest firm, where she was a member of the litigation and administrative law departments. Prior to joining Morris Law Group, she assisted local and international clients in addressing a variety of gaming issues including licensing matters, disciplinary matters, compliance committee issues, and drafting minimum standards and internal controls. Prior to and during law school, she spent nearly 12 years as part of the corporate level management team at Boyd Gaming Corporation, where she served as the Director of Internal Audit, Director of Regulatory Compliance, and member of the Board of Directors’ Audit Committee and its Compliance Committee.
