Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers serves on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. She previously was a Judge on the Superior Court of California for Alameda County. Before joining the bench, Judge Gonzalez Rogers was a litigator at Cooley LLP.
She was elected to the ALI in October 2000 and was elected to the Council in May 2010. Judge Gonzalez Rogers serves as Chair of the Membership Committee and is an Adviser on the Principles of Election Law: Dispute Resolution project. She is also on the Members Consultative Groups for the Restatement Third, Employment Law project and the Model Penal Code: Sentencing project.
