Harold Eaton, Jr. is an Associate Justice on the Vermont Supreme Court. Prior to his appointment he was a Superior Court judge for over a decade.
Following law school, Justice Eaton was a Deputy State’s Attorney for Chittenden County and then became Chief Deputy. He was in private practice in Rutland, and later was a founder and partner in the firm Eaton & Hayes in Woodstock.
Justice Eaton served on the State Police Advisory Commission and has taught at the Vermont Police Academy and the College of St. Joseph. He has been a frequent presenter at judicial meetings.
