Lisa S. Loo is the Vice President for Legal Affairs and Deputy General Counsel for Arizona State University, a university recognized as #1 in Innovation by US News & World Report for the last 7 years (2016-2022). Lisa joined ASU in 1993 after 8 years in private practice and heads the Transactions practice team and focuses on special initiatives and projects, commercial transactions, financings, real estate,and immigration. She provides legal support for all the teams at ASU that are focused on solving our society's challenges to improve lives on a global scale.
Lisa was president of the State Bar of Arizona from 2016-17, and served on the Executive Council of the National Conference of Bar Presidents from 2017-2020. Lisa is also a founding director of the Arizona Asian American Bar Association. The State Bar of Arizona recognized Lisa as the Outstanding Young Lawyer in 1993 and honored her for advancing equal opportunity in the legal profession in 2008.
Lisa also served as vice president of Victory Together, the primary group that advocated for a voter-approved MLK,Jr./Civil Rights Day in Arizona.
