John Minor Wisdom Award: Thelton E. Henderson 

Thelton E. Henderson, who served on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California from 1980-2017, is presented the John Minor Wisdom Award by ALI Council member Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.


Distinguished Service Award: Lance Liebman

Lance Liebman of Columbia Law School (ALI Director 1999-2014) is presented the Distinguished Service Award by Roberta Cooper Ramo of Modrall Sperling (ALI President 2008-2017). The award is presented to a member who over many years has played a major role in the Institute. 


Early Career Scholar Presentation: Leah M. Litman 

Early Career Scholar Recipient Leah M. Litman of the University of Michigan Law School presented at the 2024 ALI Annual Meeting on the topic of remedial essentialization. 


Presentation of the 1999 Class Gift 

The 1999 Class Gift is presented by Class Committee Chair Steve K. Balman of Shook and Johnson during the Wednesday luncheon at the 2024 Annual Meeting. Introductory remarks are provided by ALI President David F. Levi.
