‘Divergent Paths’ Talks Reform Within the Legal Profession
In his book, Divergent Paths: The Academy and the Judiciary, ALI life member Richard A. Posner of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, discusses the imperfections of the federal judiciary and how legal scholarship can contribute to its improvement. In addition to serving on the U.S. Court of Appeals, Judge Posner is also senior lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School.
Last week’s New York Times’ Sunday Book Review included a review of Divergent Paths, written by ALI member Kermit Roosevelt, III, of the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Read a feature on Judge Posner recently published in Harvard Magazine.
