Craig Mastantuono is a founding partner at Mastantuono & Coffee S.C., in Milwaukee, WI, a law firm focused on defending people accused of crime in state and federal courts. As a trial attorney, he has been peer-selected for inclusion in the Criminal Defense category each year from 2005 through 2021 in Law and Politics Magazine’s Super Lawyers publication. Attorney Mastanrtuono is also known in the Wisconsin legal community for his collaborative efforts at implementing criminal justice reform in the areas of evidence-based practice and early intervention, pre-charging diversions and deferred prosecutions in criminal cases. He began his career in the trial division of the Wisconsin State Public Defender, where he learned the craft, art, commitment and grind of being a public defender. 

Attorney Mastantuono is chair of the American Constitution Society (ACS) Milwaukee Lawyer Chapter. He is a past-President of the Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyer’s Association (WHLA) and current chair of WHLA’s law student scholarship committee. He was honored as one of the United Way’s Philanthropic 5 for his firm’s annual charitable support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. He served on the Advisory Council on Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform for Wisconsin Governor-elect Tony Evers and currently serves as a member of Gov. Evers’ Advisory Committee on Judicial Appointments. He is an adjunct faculty member at Marquette University Law School, where he teaches Criminal Practice.
