Robert Pemberton served as a justice on the Third Court of Appeals in Texas between 2003 and 2018.
Justice Pemberton began his legal career as a law clerk for Justice Tom Phillips of the Texas Supreme Court. He then practiced appellate and trial law with Baker Botts and later with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. He also worked as Deputy General Counsel to the Governor and Rules Attorney to the Texas Supreme Court before his appointment to the Third Court of Appeals.
